As you can see from the map, our Kona Vacation Rental is in the center of it all! The condo is 2 miles south of Kailua-Kona, which is a wonderful little town featuring shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Great body surfing and boogie boarding can be found just 1 mile south of our Kona condo at Magic Sands Beach. Kahalu’u Beach is only 2 miles south, and is one of the best snorkeling spots we’ve ever been to, especially for children.

If you don’t want to venture far from home, just walk down the shoreline about 100 yards to a lovely protected cove. Or, if shopping is more your style, the Ali’i Gardens Marketplace is just across the street and down about 3 blocks. It has been voted the best Open Air Marketplace on the Big Island by West Hawaii Today and has over 50 merchants who offer handmade products, Kona coffee, incredibly fresh produce and flowers, snorkel rentals, shave ice, and lots of other stuff.
